Dadcation 2011

Cyrus, Sage, and I joined Matt and Ryan and their kids for a camping trip to Port Townsend. It began with a crazy ferry trip out of downtown Seattle to Bainbridge. We then drove 40 miles to PT to our campsite and began the fun. The kids stayed up until 10:45 that night between night-hiking, spooky-story reading, marshmallow-roasting over the campfire, and getting over the excitement of being outside together with friends. The next day, we went over to Fort Worden State Park and explored the concrete bunkers and spooky tunnels for a couple of hours. After that, we spent 4 to 5 hours playing on the beach in perfect 70-degree weather. It was a great time and the kids thought so too.
