Camping!

Cyrus and Sage went on their first camping trip with me and Matt and Ella this weekend to the northern part of the Olympic National Park.  We had looked for numerous camp sites, but they were all full until we found Heart of the Hills.  We were very glad to find a nice campsite last night and the kids had a blast.  This morning, Cyrus woke up at 5:15am and declared out loud that it was "sunny out".  He ended up going back to sleep until 5:45 when Sage finally woke up and declared that it was day time.  Gotta love camping in the NW summer!

After a hike and breakfast, we drove up to Hurricane Ridge -- which was surprisingly fantastic and gorgeous.  After that, we drove over to our favorite spot on the Olympic Peninsula - Fort Worden state park near Port Townsend.  We first ate lunch in Port Townsend and then spent the next 2.5 hours hanging out at the beach on a great sunny afternoon.

Camping with daddies was fun: we paid no attention whatsoever to naptime or mealtime!  It was go, go, go, play, play, play....
