Ugh. Our driveway has been "leaking" for the last two weeks and we've been wondering why... until the utility man left us a note on our door saying our water meter was spinning out of control while we weren't home.
It turns out that the water line from the street to the house is either cracked or broken. The kind utility man's note stated that we have 30 days to fix the leak. So I did my part and called someone out to give us a bid: $3,500.
When repairs begin to amount to measurable percentages of the total cost of our house, I begin to wonder about the value of a house!
