hot water

We now have hot water!  (and I didn't pay $700-900 to have Sears come out and replace the water heater).  Paul and I ripped out the "old" (i.e. broken) water heater today and installed the new one in under 90 minutes.  We would have done it faster, but I discovered that the old tank (which I had drained) was still full of water due to a leaky shut-off valve.  In any case, the kids got a bath tonight and smell better... and I am happy to have saved on the installation costs.  Hope this one lasts longer.

Here's to no more cold showers in the morning!
