It is so neat how your own children can be so different! Sage has always been a go-getter, but Bryan and I continue to see her personality become more defined each and every day! I am happy to report that she now is loving her time at the YMCA when I get my three to four workouts in during the week. Today one of the ladies told me how much Sage has done a 180 for them. She used to cry quite a bit, but now she is being a little ham and interacting with the adults and trying to comfort the other crying babies. This makes going to the gym a much easier process and I don't feel guilty leaving her in the Kids Korner, especially because most of the girls and guys that work there have been there since we joined almost 3 years ago!
Sage's language is exploding right now! She is talking a lot and asking tons of questions. Some of her favorites right now are, "Mommy, what are you doing?" and "What is that?" She also LOVES to chit chat back and forth with Cyrus. It is cute to listen and watch them talk to one another. They often have a talking, laughing fest at the table during lunchtime. She is also enjoying books and likes hearing and singing to music almost as much as Cyrus!
Well the interest in the toilet is still going strong. After dinner on Wednesday night, Sage went pee on the toilet so I decided to pull out a pair of "big girl" underwear for her to wear until bedtime. She was SUPER excited and squealed with delight when we put them on her. She ran to show daddy and proceeded to run, hop, and skip around the room. When it was time to put on her pj's she got very upset and was crying because she did not want to put on a diaper and declared that, "I am a big girl!". So we compromised and put her underwear over the top of her diaper so she could wear them to bed. Yesterday we put on some underwear when she got up from her nap to see how she would do in them until bedtime. This was Sage's first time she learned what it feels like to get wet when you go in regular underwear. She went through two pair in the 4 hours, both times she was on the tile floor in the kitchen so it was not a big deal to clean up. Today we did the same thing, but she was able to keep her pants dry the whole time. She successfully went on the toilet 4-5 times today. I am keeping my fingers crossed that she continues on this path to becoming potty trained!

Congratulations on the potty training!!! Yeah!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ang -- She's doing a good job and has worn undies all day so far except for during nap time.
ReplyDeleteThat ought to disappoint the diaper freak.
